The Water, Women and Disability report highlights the water challenges faced by two main provinces in Vanuatu: Sanma and Torba. The report emphasized that most people with disabilities and menstruating women are the most vulnerable when it comes to accessing safe water, with people with disabilities less likely to collect water themselves. Overall, it reiterates the importance of ensuring there are adequate water supplies and sanitation, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, which makes hygiene essential. To guarantee there is universal access to water and sanitation by 2030, we must ensure that there is no inequality when it comes to accessing water, not just between world regions but between people.
