Targets for Goal 12

There are many ways that we can incorporate recycling into our daily lives. Some countries have waste management systems that allow for different bins to collect various types of materials. Many countries globally have yet to prioritise their methods of waste management, it's of great importance as we continue to pollute our waters, take up land space for the accumulation of waste, and much more. This can be prevented by small changes in businesses as well as at home! Governments around the world need to pay more attention to this target. The indicator 12.5.1 monitors the national recycling rate, by how many tons of materials are recycled. - (6/12)
