Starting off the week with some facts and figures about the world's activity with regards to SDG 12. How do they all relate, how are they all relevant?
Responsible production and consumption account for many types of behaviours that affect the environment in one way or another, this includes food consumption and hence levels of hunger/obesity. Production patterns in the food sector hugely impact the environment in ways such as deforestation, emissions, and irresponsible land use. Leading from this includes the contamination of the world's freshwater, with only 3% of it being available for consumption, it is dangerous that we continue to risk our sources.
In order to meet this target by 2030, we all need to make small changes and adopt alternatives. Looking at these figures, how can we make sure that they don't get worse in the next few years?
