NCAA Coaching Carousel: Albany To Hire Marquette’s Dwayne Killings

The University of Albany is expected to name Marquette associate head coach Dwayne Killings as its new head coach, sources confirmed.The news was previously reported by multiple outlets, including WNYT sports director Rodger Wyland, the play-by-play announcer for Albany basketball.Killings will replace Will Brown, who was let go March 1 after winning five America East titles in 20 years.Killings, who turns 40 in April, is one of the best recruiters in the Big East and the nation. He spent three total seasons at Marquette, which followed two seasons at UConn, five at Temple and one at Boston University. Marquette went 13-14 this season under head coach Steve Wojciechowski, the former Duke point guard.
