The NCAA coaching carousel continues to turn fast and furious as the NCAA Tournament is about to start.After announcing it was parting ways with coach Steve Prohm, Iowa State is poised to hire UNLV coach T.J. Otzelberger, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal.In two seasons, Otzelberger, 43, went 29-30 at UNLV, which will now be seeking its sixth head coach in 10 years and 14th since Jerry Tarkanian left in 1992, as the Review Journal pointed out. The Runnin’ Rebels, who won the NCAA championship in 1990 and reached the championship game in 1991, last appeared in the NCAA Tournament in 2013.Otzelberger has deep ties to Iowa State, serving as an assistant for eight total years under former coaches Greg McDermott, Fred Hoiberg and Prohm.
