The changing season is inevitably affecting dam levels across the region of South Africa. Particularly, the Department of Water and Sanitation in KwaZulu-Natal has raised concerns regarding a drop in water levels across some dams.Dam level reports highlighted a 0.3% drop in water levels from last week. Although the drop is not significant, it threatens clean water access for residents of the region, especially with drought season approaching which will generate a further drop in water levels. It is crucial to prepare for the upcoming warmer season, mitigating the possible effects that this will have on dam levels and developing a plan of action to ensure the provision of clean water.
