One of the world's biggest producers and consumers of plastic has announced a brand new idea to abolish plastics. The plan to reduce plastic waste and pollution will include the prohibition of non-degradable plastic bags in supermarkets, the government will also highlight the need to monitor plastic bags in takeaway services and other activities in planned cities.
Half of the world's plastics are produced in Asia and 29% of the total is produced in China, according to the National Geographic. By implementing these measures, the Chinese government hopes to create a 'Beautiful China'.
