In Bethlehem, Occupied West Bank, children from Jubbet al-Dhib and neighboring villages saw Israeli focus tear down six prefab classrooms and confiscate all the construction material. Damage also included dismantling solar panels, the only source of power for schools.
The EU missions in Jerusalem and Ramallah have expressed strong concern against the attacks. There have been calls for inquiry for the legality behind these attacks, in regards to international humanitarian law. The attack does affect the quality of education children will receive, with students still showing up to school despite the demolition. However, students are not outside, with tent shelters being set up.
