Zuzanna Quality Education

Israeli students will begin their school year from homes, due to the COVID-19 risks. However, online teaching poses many challenges, including lack of equipment for all kids, no access to the internet, or no social contact with friends and teachers. As a response, over 400 Israeli educational technology companies began working hard to solve the problems. “The biggest challenges are structural. Teachers know how to give a 45-minute lesson in a brick-and-mortar school and now they have to rethink the whole learning process,” says MindCET CEO Avi  Warshavsky. “It’s a change of culture.” Some of the 30 MindCET portfolio startups target these issues.Another company, Indimo, helps teachers equip students with self-directed learning skills at an early age, following a personalized curriculum that arranges subject matter according to learning styles. Digital Tuesday, on the other hand, teaches a cluster of data literacy topics to enhance daily human-computer interaction.Do you think online learning will become a new norm?
