Save Toondah! Forward the letter to the Environment Minister - Australian Conservation Foundation
The fate of Toondah Harbour’s dugongs, sea turtles, and critically endangered shorebirds are now in Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek’s hands.
Walker Corp has submitted its final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for its plan to destroy Toondah’s globally important wetlands to make way for high-rise luxury apartments, a new marina and shopping strips.
This project on Brisbane’s south-east coast has never stacked up. Its impacts on nature would be unacceptable, the local community doesn’t want it, and the Minister's own department has given repeated advice to reject it.
The Minister’s final decision is due within weeks. Let’s speak up together to urge her to reject the project and make sure the homes of our most threatened wildlife are not open for business to profit-hungry corporations.
