On Sunday, April 25th, 2021, India recorded 349,691 new coronavirus cases – the highest one-day tally anywhere in the world. Deaths were numbered at 2,767 in 24 hours, as the country is struggling with the lack of oxygen supplies. In Delhi, a region inhabited by about 20 million people, hospitals are full and are turning away new patients. Additionally, testing capacity has been overwhelmed and crematoria are reportedly working nonstop.
