Today, the World Bank Board of Directors approved an additional financing of $150 million from the International Development Association (IDA)* for the Niger Basin Water Resources Development and Sustainable Ecosystems Management Program, also known as the Kandadji Program. The program will contribute to increasing access to energy and water resources and will improve the livelihoods of about 330,000 people living in the Niger River Basin.
