In the 29th of July, 2010, the UN (United Nations) recognised for the first time, clean water and sanitation as a human right. Since then, water and sanitation have been a priority for 193 countries that aim to meet the 2030 goal.
Nevertheless, there is still much to be done, with one-third of the world's population lacking safe drinking water and 673 million still practise open defecation. Raising awareness, educating people on WASH (Water, sanitation and hygiene) and carrying out water and hygiene projects globally will ensure we meet the 2030 sustainable development goal.
