1. Golden Hill
2. Francis Spufford
3. This book is about a mysterious stranger who lands in New York in the mid-late 18th Century, with a mysterious motive, a whimsical attitude, and an appetite for getting into a spot of trouble.
4. 5/ 5 Stars
5. After reading Klara and The Sun, I found it difficult at first to switch between such juxtaposed writing styles. Once I got comfortable however I found the read enthralling, and was transported to that time period completely. I found the twists and turns delightful and I was overall surprised I enjoyed the novel as much as I did- even more surprised to learn this is the first novel Spufford published! Would recommend to a friend any day!
